Dear Parents, Teachers and Friends of the Windham PTA,
Now that our lights are back on and we are nice and toasty, we wanted to updated you on the latest and greatest.
The Windham PTA has been very busy putting together fun and exciting programs to help your kids focus (even for 5 minutes) during this chaotic time!
We want to take the chance to thank all of our volunteers and members for their ongoing work, support and energy. Without all of you, we would surely fail and failure is not in our vocabulary!
At Windham Middle School, our PTA volunteers successfully completed another year of holiday cookie deliveries to our wonderful teachers. Our teachers always go above and beyond and look forward to this tradition and we are so excited to be able to do this for them! Also at Middle, the Bonus Bucks Program for the 7th Grade is in full swing and our volunteers are in the midst of coordinating a laser tag outing for out students!
At Windham Center School, you may hear the faint sound of a gorilla rustling in the leaves by the playground as our Scholastic Book Fair Safari just wrapped up! While our book fair was in full swing, our conference dinners helped to keep our teachers fed during their extra long days! Thanks to our volunteers and our local businesses for their generous food donations!
At Golden Brook School, the volunteer team is proud to boast another Blue Ribbon Award. The Blue Ribbon is given by the Partners in Education Organization and is awarded to those groups who meet and exceed total volunteer hours for their school.
As we head into the 2nd half of the school year, we are excited for our upcoming events. If you have any interest in joining us, please come to one of our upcoming meetings. We have been lucky to gain some new more board members as of late and hope that trend continues!
Sincerely,
Holly Breton, Windham PTA President
