As
the volunteer coordinator for the Box
Tops for Education program, I’d like
to thank everyone for their support
this year. Thanks to the
contributions from many dedicated Box
Tops clippers, the program raised
over $1900 this school year.
Even though the school year is coming
to an end, you can continue to make a
difference for our schools all summer
long. Keep on collecting Box Tops
from hundreds of participating
products--each Box Top is worth 10˘
for your school. The pink collection
bins will remain in the foyers through
the last day of school. After
then, please hold on to your Box Tops
until school resumes in the Fall.
You can also help the program get a
head start for the 2008-09 school year
by simply shopping your favorite
online stores. Go to
www.boxtops4education.com,
designate which school you wish to
support and then find your online
store through the Marketplace link.
Up to 8% of each qualifying purchase
is donated to our schools at no extra
cost to you.
Thank you for choosing to make a
difference for our schools with Box
Tops!

Windham PTA Receives Top Honors
I am
very excited to be able to share some very special news with you!
At the annual New Hampshire Congress PTA Convention on November 2,
2007, Windham PTA was presented with Alice M. Chickering Unit
of the Year Award, the highest PTA award in the State of
NH.
Of the
114 PTA units in New Hampshire,
Windham took home top
honors! This is a prestigious award that is
given to the PTA which demonstrates the strongest ability to partner
with the school system and provide the best programs and services
for the schools and children in New Hampshire. When we were
presented this award, the State PTA President said a large part of
our award came from our grass roots advocacy program that we
implemented when we educated the public on the options we had when
building our new high school.
Equally as special was the award that Beth McGuire also received
during the convention weekend. Rising
above the numerous nominees in the State, Beth was honored with the
PTA Partner of the Year award for her exemplary
support of the Windham PTA and her ongoing participation in our
sponsored events.
Help make a difference an join us in
this exciting partnership!
Holly Breton,
Windham PTA President
