New Hampshire PTA is the strongest statewide organization working exclusively on behalf of children and youth. Founded in 1913, New Hampshire PTA's primary objective is to strengthen the family unit through parent involvement. 


New Hampshire Partners in Education enhances and enriches the education of children through school volunteerism.  For the academic year 2005-2006, 195 schools and their volunteer programs were selected to receive the 2006 Blue Ribbon award.  The Blue Ribbon Awards recognizes the extraordinary efforts of school volunteer coordinators and their volunteer teams for the achievements realized during the previous school year.   2006 Blue Ribbon Schools

Windham School District currently serves over 1,600 students at our three community schools:  Golden Brook School (Transition through 2nd), Windham Center School (3rd through 5th), and Windham Middle School (6th through 8th). Our high school students (650) attend Salem High School through an AREA agreement.


Nesmith Library, Friends of the Library Of Windham (FLOW), is a non-profit corporation made up of volunteers dedicated to encouraging greater use of the Nesmith Library and its many services.  Since 1966, we have been providing programs and services as well as books and equipment to the library.

Teacher Magazine is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization based in Washington, D.C. Our primary mission is to help raise the level of awareness and understanding among professionals and the public of important issues in American education. P.E. Central is a web site for health and physical education teachers, parents, and students.   Their goal is to provide the latest information about developmentally appropriate physical education programs for children and youth.





The American Medical Association Program on Child and Adolescent Health provides information on adolescent health issues.



The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), passed by Congress in October 1998, requires the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to issue and enforce rules concerning children's online privacy. The FTC issued the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule in November 1999; it has been in effect since April 21, 2000.¹ The Rule's primary goal: to place parents in control over what information is collected from their children online.
